Grenoble's Revalue raises €2.2M to put AI behind industrial repair decisions

What's the deal? French startup RevalueDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €2.2 million in an early VC round led by Asterion VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with participation from Hoji VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Kima Ventures. The Grenoble-based company builds an AI platform that helps manufacturers decide whether to repair, refurbish, reuse, or recycle their equipment.

What's the endgame? Revalue's platform analyses each piece of equipment based on its history, condition, and a client's business rules, then guides the decision toward repair, standard exchange, refurbishment, reuse, dismantling, or recycling. The company argues these trade-offs are still handled case by case, drawing on expert experience, while existing systems were built to manage production of new goods.

Why it matters: The approach turns maintenance tracking into an economic calculation — how much value can still be extracted from an asset already produced. Revalue reflects that in its pricing: rather than charging per user, it bills by subscription for the number of items managed, repaired, or recovered.

Two deployments show the range. Fnac DartyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → uses Revalue to manage the second-life flow of its household appliances, adding more than 1,000 products per month over three months across more than 25 logistics platforms. Pump specialist Hermetic MecafluxDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → uses it to optimise maintenance and keep client equipment operational.

What's next? Founded in 2025, Revalue will use the funds to grow its teams, build new features, structure its sales operation, and extend the platform to new industrial sectors.

What could go wrong? Scaling is the main challenge. Equipment, maintenance processes, and business models vary widely by sector, so the platform must absorb more special cases while keeping a standardised base that stays deployable at scale.

The signal: Revalue sits at the intersection of circular economy and industrial software, two areas drawing fresh capital as manufacturers look to extract more value from existing assets rather than buying new ones.
