About 90% of the amount is equity, with the rest from public financing, mainly via Bpifrance.
What does it do? Founded in 2024 by Stanislas Chertok and Victor Perez, Joe AI deploys agents that connect to the software used by agencies and property managers. The agents field inquiries by phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, and live chat from prospects, owners, tenants, and co-owners.
What's the endgame? Unlike a chatbot that merely answers, the company's agents are designed to act. Joe AI aims to handle up to 95% of inbound requests across all channels, freeing staff for tasks that need a human, such as general meetings and negotiations. It claims more than 500 clients in France and several hundred thousand communications processed each month.
Why now? The founders argue real estate is unusually suited to AI agents because of sheer request volume. "One property management client told me he gets more calls than the ambulance service," Chertok said (translated from French), citing repetitive queries from rent receipts to water damage.
What's the money for? The funds will go mainly to product development, growing the commercial real estate segment, and distribution in France and abroad. Joe AI plans to start its European expansion in Spain, Portugal, and Italy, working with partner software vendors and established client networks. The 10-person team expects to hire several account executives, a product manager, and two developers.
The signal: The round sits around the 34th percentile for size, modest by venture standards but pointed at an open market. Chertok notes that US property management has already produced a unicorn in EliseAI, recently valued at $4 billion, while Europe has no player of that scale — "there is really a European leader position up for grabs," he said (translated from French).
