Moneyboxx raises $8.76M in debt, adds Bandhan Bank as lender

What's the deal? Moneyboxx Finance raised US$11.4M in fresh debt, the company said on October 1, 2026. The capital includes US$4.75M from Indian Overseas BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, US$2.72M from Bandhan BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and US$3.94M from two NBFC lenders.

Who's in: The round brings in Bandhan Bank as a new lending partner and deepens an existing relationship with Indian Overseas Bank. With a US$8.15M NCD issuance earlier in the month, Moneyboxx's total September debt funding reached US$19.6M, drawn from public-sector banks, private banks, NBFCs, and capital-market investors.

What's the endgame? The Mumbai-based lender serves micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It says the new capital will support a significant increase in disbursements.

Why now? Over the past year, Moneyboxx has worked to strengthen its secured MSME loan book, raise average ticket sizes, and improve borrower credit quality. The fresh debt lets it scale lending on that firmer base.

What's next? The company is expanding origination through partnerships: rooftop solar finance with Loom SolarDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, dairy and livestock finance through Akshayakalpa, and digital lending via Bachatt.

"Welcoming Bandhan Bank as a new partner and deepening the relationship with Indian Overseas Bank endorses the company's efforts to strengthen its franchise," said Deepak Aggarwal, co-founder and co-chief executive officer. He added that the focus is on scaling disbursements to achieve sustained asset under management (AUM) expansion and stronger financial performance.

The signal: Pulling fresh debt from a widening set of banks and NBFCs signals growing lender confidence in Moneyboxx's secured MSME model — fuel for a lender betting on rural and small-business credit demand.
