What's the endgame? Zaritalk connects 6 million tenants and 700,000 landlords. It offers landlords rental management tools — rent billing, payment collection, and contract management — while tenants get card-based rent payments, rent refunds, lived-in reviews, and short-term rentals.

Why now? The company turned a profit in 2024 after pivoting to real estate, then grew revenue more than 60% the following year. In 2025 it posted US$10.5M in revenue and US$628.8K in operating profit, built on recurring monthly rent management demand.

What's the context? Zaritalk's lived-in review feature lets users read firsthand accounts from people who have actually lived in a given home, covering apartments, studios, officetels, and villas. Food delivery, e-commerce, and lodging markets normalised ratings and reviews long ago; real estate lagged behind.

"Jeonse and monthly rent involve entrusting nearly one's entire fortune, yet fraud from information asymmetry happens often," said chief executive officer Park Byung-jong (translated from Korean). "Zaritalk will build trust infrastructure that benefits everyone, based on our landlord and tenant network."

The signal: At roughly $10.7 million, the round sits near the 91st percentile of all-time Series A deals in South Korea, a sign of investor appetite for a proptech company that is already profitable in a market long overdue for digitisation.
