What does it do? Tanami runs a digital platform that gives eligible investors access to private markets, spanning private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Users can discover opportunities, deploy capital, and monitor investments in one place.
Why now? The company says investor demand for top-tier private market opportunities keeps growing. Tanami launched in Bahrain under the Central Bank of Bahrain and later expanded into Saudi Arabia after clearing the Capital Market Authority.
The expansion: The new capital will fund Tanami's push into fresh markets, including Qatar — a fit with backer Qatar Development Bank. "With this capital, we are focused on expanding Tanami's reach across the region," said Nawaf Almaskati, co-founder and chief executive officer of Tanami Saudi Arabia.
What's the endgame? Tanami wants to open private markets to regional investors it says have long been underserved. "We are building more than an investment platform; we are creating a new gateway to private markets," said Faisal Aljalahma, co-founder and chief executive officer of Tanami Bahrain.
The signal: The round reflects tali ventures' bet on high-growth technology firms that can scale across the Gulf, and it broadens stc group's exposure to digital wealth management. As demand for private assets rises, platforms lowering the barrier to entry are drawing strategic and state-linked capital across the region.
