The New York startup builds what it calls a Data Streaming Operating System — one engine for streaming, processing, and storage.

What's the endgame? AlgoX2 collapses separate systems into a single primitive: everything is a stream. It claims up to 10 times higher throughput and up to 90% lower total cost of ownership than legacy stacks, with no latency trade-off. Native support for Kafka, Redis, NATS, and MQTT lets teams switch without changing code.

Why now? Markets move in microseconds, and AI models are only as good as the live data feeding them. AlgoX2 has been tested in production with design partners, and the new funding scales that work.

The hire. The money will fund forward-deployed engineers to take customer integrations live and grow the product team, led by Addison Higham, former group product manager of Confluent Cloud. His mandate: launch AlgoX2 Cloud and an open-source version.

Why the round matters. The founders previously built ultra-low-latency infrastructure, including technology underpinning the New York Stock ExchangeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. "The founders have spent their careers building mission-critical, ultra-low-latency infrastructure," said Logan Allin, founder and managing partner at Fin Capital.

The endgame, in the founder's words. "We took care of the boring part, and we hope people will use that freedom to build things we haven't even imagined yet," said Alexei Lebedev, chief executive officer and co-founder.

The signal: At $10 million, this seed extension sits in the upper reaches of comparable rounds. Real-time streaming is already a multibillion-dollar market, and investors are betting the AI era pushes far more workloads toward live data. As Bessemer partner Janelle Teng put it, "AI is only as good as the data it sees."
