Try Dealroom →, along with its US and UK affiliates. The Leesburg, Virginia company announced the deal on September 30, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.

What each side brings: Resonant serves life sciences firms across the clinical supply chain through its biorepository, kitting, and equipment and ancillaries businesses. Labfish, founded in 2014, rents laboratory equipment — scales, freezers, refrigerators, infusion pumps, and monitors — and runs one of Europe's largest in-house calibration facilities for clinical trials.

The strategic rationale: The deal expands Resonant's equipment and ancillaries presence in Europe and adds Labfish's calibration expertise. It also brings Importer of Record and Exporter of Record services, plus partner depots in Argentina, Israel, Turkey, and China that supply trial sites in more than 70 countries.

What they're saying: "Incorporating Labfish into Resonant's EA business extends our presence in Europe and deepens our calibration and import/export services," said Christophe Berthoux, chief executive officer of Resonant. Founder Martin Forster said joining Resonant lets his team "support more of the clinical trial journey."

Why now? Increasingly complex trial programs need specialized equipment, calibration, and logistics that keep pace with evolving research protocols. Resonant, which has more than 850 employees and has supported over 2,500 trials, positions the deal as a way to serve clients as their development programs scale.

The signal: The acquisition reflects continued consolidation among clinical supply chain providers racing to offer end-to-end services across borders. As trials grow more global and technical, scale and specialized capabilities — like calibration and cross-border logistics — become competitive necessities.
