Rayon raises €10M Series A to bring AI and 3D into browser-based design

What's the deal? Paris-based RayonDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €10 million in Series A funding led by Partech, with Northzone, FoundamentalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Seedcamp continuing their support. The round brings the browser-based design platform's total funding to nearly €16 million.

What's the endgame? Rayon runs entirely in the browser as a lighter, faster alternative to conventional BIM tools, combining floor plans, mood boards, specifications, and furniture schedules into a single file. Founded in 2021 by Stanislas Chaillou and Bastien Dolla, it has produced over four million drawings since launch.

The founders set out to serve what Chaillou calls "the architecture of the 90%" — the interior fit-outs, retail build-outs, and home renovations that make up most construction projects but get little attention from CAD vendors.

What's the money for? The funds will develop a 3D mode, add more AI features to the drawing process, and expand the sales team. Rayon's fourth version, due by the end of the year, will combine advanced AI tools and 3D modelling in a single browser tab.

Who's behind it? Chaillou was an architect and senior data scientist at SpacemakerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Oslo AI design startup that AutodeskDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → acquired for $240 million in 2020. Dolla co-founded French housing marketplace Habx and previously advised the French secretary of state for housing.

What could go wrong? Rayon competes with Autodesk, TrimbleDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and NemetschekDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which together control about 42% of the interior design software market. It also faces browser-based rivals Snaptrude, ArcolDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and London's Gendo — though Rayon focuses more specifically on interior and experiential design.

Some customers are already switching. Design studio Nolt Mathis ended a 15-year CAD subscription to move to Rayon.

The signal: The interior design software market is worth about $6.5 billion in 2026 and is expected to reach $9.7 billion by 2030 — a compound annual growth rate of around 10%. Rayon is betting that browser-native, AI-driven tools can pull an underserved segment away from legacy desktop software built for architects, not interior teams.
