Mitratech acquires AI startup BotDojo to build "System of Action" for legal teams
What's the deal? Mitratech has acquired AI-native startup BotDojoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → to accelerate development of its ARIES AI technology, the company announced on September 28, 2026. Terms were not disclosed.
What each company does: Mitratech is a legal technology provider serving more than 12,000 legal team relationships worldwide. BotDojo builds AI-native software that Mitratech plans to embed across its systems of record.
What's the endgame? Mitratech wants to move from a system of record — spanning matters, spend analytics, documents, and historic context — to what it calls the legal industry's first "System of Action." The idea is to let its platform autonomously execute tasks rather than just store data.
Why now? The deal arrives as agentic AI platforms become standard across enterprises. With two-way MCP support going live this autumn, Mitratech says the acquisition makes customers' systems of record natively interoperable with those platforms.
What's next? Mitratech plans to showcase the new capabilities at Interact, its customer conference, in October.
The signal: The purchase reflects a broader push by enterprise software vendors to bolt autonomous AI onto legacy systems of record, turning static data stores into tools that can act on their own.
