Granite raises €4M to build cloud infrastructure for AI agents

What's the deal? AI infrastructure company GraniteDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €4 million in a round led by Bifrost StudiosDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, alongside private investors. The money will fund the commercialisation of its technology, uniting its software and hardware for customers.

What's the endgame? Granite is building what it calls an "agentic cloud" — infrastructure designed specifically for AI agents rather than adapted for them. Its platform combines compute, storage, and networking with Granite's own operating and AI orchestration software.

How does it work? Granite delivers its infrastructure through modular datacentres: containerised units housing compute, storage, and networking that can be deployed wherever power is available. Organisations can access it through cloud services or run dedicated systems under their own control.

The platform also includes a layer for managing AI agents, giving them memory, permissions, and tools. Granite says the setup lets organisations control where their AI workloads run and which underlying technology they use.

Why now? "AI is moving from answering questions to carrying out work. That changes what businesses need from the infrastructure behind it," said chief executive officer Peter Damm.

The signal: As AI agents shift from experiments to production, control over the infrastructure behind them becomes a competitive question. Granite is betting that businesses want a genuine choice over where their AI runs and who owns the stack beneath it.
