What's the deal? Ace ReputationsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has closed an extended seed financing at a $30 million post-money valuation, with Phoenix Holding IncorporatedDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → investing $300,000 as a strategic investor. The Santa Clara-based startup builds technology to monitor and manage how people and companies are represented online.
What's the endgame? Founded by Gaurav Gaikwad, Ace argues that identity now spans search engines, news, social platforms, review sites, databases, images, and answers generated by large language models. It pairs proprietary tools — AceEye, AceTrack, AceGuard, AceTruth, and AceRank AI — with human expertise to serve founders, executives, public figures, and businesses.
Why now? Online reputation is shifting from search results to AI-generated answers. Its AceRank AI platform examines how companies and individuals appear across those answers, tracking prompt-level visibility, citation patterns, sentiment, competitor presence, and information gaps.
The round follows an earlier seed led by Spectrum Business VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which valued Ace at $15 million post-money. The new capital and partnership will support product development and expansion in the US and abroad.
Phoenix Holding, led by James Pomeroy, has interests across operating businesses and investments. The relationship is expected to extend beyond the financing, with both sides exploring how Ace's infrastructure could apply across the broader Phoenix network.
"Phoenix coming into Ace is important to us for reasons beyond the capital," Gaikwad said. "This partnership gives us an experienced group alongside us as we move into the next stage of the company."
Pomeroy framed the bet around a changing internet. "The internet is changing quickly, particularly with AI becoming another layer through which people and companies are discovered and understood," he said. "We believe there is a meaningful opportunity in the infrastructure Ace is building around that shift."
The signal: The $300,000 check is small — it lands in the bottom third of comparable rounds — but it points to a growing question for businesses: how they are portrayed not just in search, but in the answers AI systems generate about them.
