What's the endgame? Founded in 2024, the company runs a single-cell platform that tests a patient's living, tumour-derived cells against a treatment library. By measuring direct cellular responses, it aims to identify which drug will work best for each patient.

Why now? The funding will drive regulatory clearances and reimbursement coverage, and fuel operational expansion across Europe. Chief executive officer Philip Zimmermann said the money and partners position it to "improve patient outcomes and deliver cost-effective cancer care."

By the numbers: "Nearly half of cancer patients fail to respond to their first line of treatment," said Pablo Perea, partner at GoHub Ventures. He added that Prevision has "made a clinically validated technique economically viable."

The startup, which also operates in Lausanne, targets hematological malignancies and solid tumours. GoHub Ventures, based in Valencia, manages €90 million and backs founders in digital health and B2B software at pre-seed and seed stages.

The signal: At €4.7 million, this is a large seed round for the sector — sitting in the 92nd percentile of all-time seed rounds in Swiss health, out of 475 comparable deals. The size reflects investor appetite for functional testing as a next step in precision oncology.
