Founded in June by Soundous Moufakir, the brand sells products made with ingredients sourced directly from Morocco.
What's the endgame? MoroMaa wants to establish "M Beauty" as a category in India, bringing Moroccan ingredients, rituals, and their cultural context to local consumers. The pitch draws on Moufakir's personal ties to Morocco and its beauty traditions.
Where the money goes: The startup plans to use the capital to expand its product portfolio, strengthen distribution, and build awareness of Moroccan beauty among Indian consumers.
"MoroMaa started with a simple idea: to bring the beauty rituals and ingredients I grew up with in Morocco to India," Moufakir said. "Over time, that idea has developed into a larger vision of building M Beauty as a category and making Moroccan beauty more accessible to Indian consumers."
Why now? The brand said two products sold out in its first two months. It now aims to use the fresh capital to widen its range and reach more customers.

The signal: The round is a bet on category creation, wagering that Indian consumers will adopt an unfamiliar beauty tradition built around imported ingredients and cultural storytelling.
