hlpy raises €20M and buys Carvoilà to build pan-European vehicle services

What's the deal? Italian scaleup hlpy has raised €20 million in a late-stage round backed by BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments (BBEI) and bbei, and used the capital to acquire CarvoilàDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a vehicle transport and logistics firm. The round brings hlpy's founder Milan-based total funding to €45 million since it launched in 2020.

What does hlpy do? The company runs an AI-powered platform for vehicle assistance and mobility across Europe, spanning assistance, repair, maintenance, and logistics. It aims to act as a pan-European orchestrator of vehicle services across the automotive value chain.

Why now? The financing lets hlpy pursue both organic growth and acquisitions as it targets €100 million in recurring revenue by 2027. The Carvoilà deal is its second acquisition in six years of operation.

What's the endgame? hlpy wants to connect technology, data, and specialised expertise into one service ecosystem covering pre-sale and post-sale processes. Carvoilà founders Francesca Vidali and Michela Conti will join the group to expand the model.

"Thanks to this new financing and the entry of BBEI into our equity structure, we are ready to accelerate both organic growth and the pace of acquisitions," said chief executive officer Valerio Chiaronzi.

BBEI, a division of BNP Paribas Group focused on small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, framed the deal as part of its strategy of partnering with visionary companies. Its chief executive officer, Lorenzo Langella, said the venture reflects a "shared mission of driving innovation within the industry."

The signal: A bank-backed growth round paired with an acquisition points to consolidation in Europe's fragmented vehicle-services market, where scale and data are becoming the competitive edge.
