Longxun Kuanteng raises $15M Series B to fuse materials science with AI

What's the endgame? The company builds tools that pair materials science modelling with AI. It plans to use the money to expand its research team, build out a "dry-wet" closed-loop system, and develop its commercial operations.

Why now? The continued participation of an existing investor alongside new institutional backers points to sustained confidence in the company's direction as it moves from research toward commercialisation.

The signal: The round sits near the middle of the pack for deals of its kind by size, landing around the 52nd percentile. That places Longxun Kuanteng among a growing set of startups betting that AI can accelerate materials discovery — a field where computation and experimentation increasingly work in tandem.
