What's the deal? Galway MetalsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Canadian exploration company, has launched a private placement of up to 19,437,000 flow-through units at US$0.53 each to raise about US$10.3M (roughly $10 million). The terms: Each unit pairs a common share with a warrant to buy a non-flow-through share at US$0.59 for 36 months after closing. Gentile is subscribing for 17,150,000 units and has agreed to a 12-month lock-up.

Why now? Gentile would hold 11.04% of Galway's shares after the deal, rising to 19.9% if he exercises his warrants. That makes him a significant shareholder ahead of further work at the company's projects.

What's the endgame? Proceeds are earmarked for Canadian exploration expenses at Galway's Clarence Stream project. The offering is expected to close on October 14, 2026, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.

The signal: The raise ranks in the top 10% of non-venture private placements in Canada over the trailing 48 months, based on a sample of 4,131 rounds. A named resource backer anchoring a nearly $10 million financing points to continued appetite for junior mining exploration.
