What's the endgame? GMG makes energy-saving and energy-storage products using graphene, which it produces by decomposing natural gas into carbon and hydrogen. What did they say? Chief executive officer Craig Nicol said the investment "further validates our products and business model" and supports expected near-term sales of liquid graphene products.
Non-executive chairman Jack Perkowski called it "a strong vote of confidence in our technology and our team," adding that North America remains "a key market for GMG."
The signal: The $10 million round marks a step-up from GMG's previous raise, reflecting continued investor appetite for the company's methane-to-graphene process as it moves from validation toward commercial-scale sales.
