Embracer lands $200 million revolving credit facility ahead of 2027 spin-off
What's the deal? Gaming company Embracer has secured a new revolving credit facility of 2 billion kronor (roughly $200 million), according to a press release. The facility replaces several bilateral loans and, the company says, delivers improved terms, including a lower credit margin on drawn debt.
The terms: The new facility runs for two years, with the option of a further two-year extension.
Why now? Embracer intends for the financing to be replaced after the planned spin-off of Fellowship EntertainmentDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in 2027. The refinancing streamlines its debt structure ahead of that split.
The balance sheet. At the end of June, Embracer held about 1.53 billion kronor in short- and long-term debt and close to 5 billion kronor in cash.
"The improved terms reflect our strong and decisive actions to strengthen our balance sheet and cash flows over the past few years," said Phil Rogers, chief executive officer of Embracer.
The signal: The move underlines Embracer's continued push to consolidate its finances after years of aggressive acquisitions, positioning the company for a cleaner structure as it prepares to spin off Fellowship Entertainment.
