What's the endgame? QOCODealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s platform, Aviadex, integrates data across dozens of airline, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) systems, then applies AI and machine learning to automate maintenance operations. It supports roughly 60 airlines and MROs, and says its tools generate hundreds of millions of euros in annual cost savings for customers.
By the numbers: QOCO's annual recurring revenue has grown nearly fivefold over the past 24 months. The company plans to use the funds to strengthen its technology and expand its presence in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Why now? The backers are long-term institutional investors with a track record in growth deals. Both have previously invested in Finnish success stories ICEYE and IQM — Ilmarinen directly in both, Elo through fund commitments.
"Partnering with investors of this caliber gives us not just capital, but the broad-shouldered, long-term backing to match the scale of our ambitions," said Matti Nevala, chief executive officer of QOCO Systems.
Esko Torsti, head of alternative investments at Ilmarinen, said QOCO offers "a strong technology platform, a scalable business model, and a clear value proposition," adding that it could "grow into a Finnish technology success story."
The signal: Pension-fund capital flowing into a vertical SaaS startup underscores how specialised, AI-enabled software for legacy industries is drawing patient, institutional money — and how Finland's investors are betting on repeat category-defining exits.
