Lvji raises $2 million to build AI tour guides and robotics

What's the deal? Lvji Technology Holdings, a Hong Kong-listed digital tourism company, has raised US$1.91M through a share subscription with six individual investors. It will issue 3,960,000 new shares at US$0.48 each under its existing general mandate.

Where's the money going? Net proceeds of about US$1.85M are earmarked for working capital and product development. The company plans to put US$1.21M into a new generation of AI online electronic guides and US$645.5K into expanding a robotics project.

The mechanics: The new shares represent roughly 7.82% of current share capital and 7.26% of the enlarged base, modestly diluting existing shareholders. They will list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange once the subscriptions complete.

What's the endgame? Lvji builds online electronic guide products and AI-powered tools for travel and smart services. The raise signals a push toward higher-value technology, deepening its bet on robotics and intelligent systems.

What could go wrong? The deal is conditional and may not proceed. Lvji carries a market capitalisation of US$17.7M and a technical sentiment signal of "Sell."

The signal: Small-cap listed firms are increasingly tapping private placements to fund AI and robotics ambitions, trading dilution for a shot at the smart-tourism market.
