Greek satcom chip startup Circuits Integrated raises pre-seed from Evercurious
What's the deal? Circuits Integrated Hellas (CIH)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Athens-based satellite communication (satcom) semiconductor startup, has raised a pre-seed round led by Greek deep-tech venture firm Evercurious VCDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The investment, which closed in July, will fund the commercialisation of CI-ONE, CIH's first semiconductor product family.
What's the endgame? CI-ONE is a family of small-form-factor modules combining a power amplifier and an RF switch into a single surface-mount device for Ka-band satcom systems. CIH says the modules are roughly three times smaller, up to 50% cheaper, and up to 25% more efficient than conventional discrete implementations.
The round marks CIH's shift from a design-services provider to a product company. General availability is planned for Q4 2026, with sampling programs starting ahead of release.
Why now? The funding supports CIH as it moves from product development into commercialisation. "This investment provides important support as we bring CI-ONE to market and transition our focus from design services to products," said co-founder and chief executive officer Paolo Fioravanti.
Where it's headed: CI-ONE targets high-throughput satellite communications, maritime and in-flight connectivity, defence multi-band systems, and emergency response. CIH positions it as the first step in a broader roadmap toward more integrated semiconductor solutions built on its proprietary 3D IC stacks, which merge III-V materials and silicon for flat-panel antennas.
Evercurious cited the founding team as the deciding factor. "Through months of conversations and a demanding due diligence, Paolo and Giannis never reached for the easy answer," said partner Alex Vamvakas, referring to co-founder and chief technology officer Giannis Kontogiannopoulos.
The signal: The round reflects growing investor interest in European deep-tech hardware and in the semiconductor components underpinning next-generation satellite connectivity. It also underscores Greece's emerging role as a base for frontier chip development.
