Spectroscopy startup Vibronix raises ~$15M Series B for commercialization push

What does it do? Founded in 2017, Vibronix develops molecular vibrational spectroscopy instruments, aiming to build high-end, domestically produced spectral analysis and imaging products. It runs three self-developed platforms: coherent Raman, transient absorption, and pulsed laser infrared.

What's the endgame? The company will use the funds to commercialize its products across industrial inspection, clinical applications, and AI for Science. It positions its instruments as replacements for imported solutions in life sciences, semiconductor and new-energy quality control, clinical diagnostics, and environmental science.

In their words: "This round of financing will help Vibronix achieve a commercial leap across three directions: industrial inspection, clinical applications, and AI for Science," said chief executive officer Wang Pu. He added that the company aims to "build more competitive domestically made high-end scientific instruments." (translated from Chinese)

The signal: The round sits at the modest end of the funding spectrum, ranking in roughly the 47th percentile by size. But it reflects a broader push in China to localize high-end scientific instruments and to fuse spectral data with AI, moving domestic hardware from lab validation toward scaled commercialization.
