Try Dealroom →, officially API-Rex Inc., has raised $4 million in a seed round to help software companies market their products directly to autonomous AI agents. Nexus Venture Partners led the round, with participation from Postman chief executive Abhinav AsthanaDealroom has a profile for this one. Why now? With AI agents like Claude Code, Microsoft's Copilot, and Cursor now widespread, developers do less coding and reading of documentation themselves. Instead, they let agents pick the most appropriate software on their behalf — meaning vendors can no longer rely on marketing to humans alone.

What's the endgame? Lightsage calls its approach "agent-led growth." Its platform runs simulations across coding agents and answer engines, giving agents real-world integration tasks to measure how visible a customer's software is against rivals.

When an agent fails a task, Lightsage identifies the cause — confusing documentation, broken API endpoints, flawed authentication, or incompatible Model Context Protocol servers — then shows customers how to fix it. It also supplies analytics on which agents use a vendor's software, for which tasks, and how often.

What's next? The startup, focused for now on developer software, plans to expand its commercial and engineering teams and broaden its analytics, attribution, and optimisation tools. It eventually hopes to extend agent-led growth to business-to-business software, cloud infrastructure, and automated payments. Early customers include ReductoDealroom has a profile for this one. The signal: The $4 million round sits at the 77th percentile for deal size, a modest but above-median bet on a shift co-founder and CEO Jun Liang Lee frames bluntly. "We are moving from an internet where AI tells people which software to use to one where AI increasingly uses the software itself," he said. "That changes what growth means."
