Jab Boxing raises $27M to open London flagship and go global

Founded in 2018 by George Veness, former captain of England's boxing team, Jab pairs traditional boxing with coaching, strength and conditioning, recovery classes, and nutrition guidance. Founding memberships start at £240 per month.
The hire: Alongside the raise, Jab appointed David Cooper, co-founder and former chief executive officer of Gymbox, as chair. The move brings scaleup experience as the company readies its next phase.
Why now? The flagship builds on Jab's first club, and Veness is tying the launch to his roots. "To bring that belief to EC1, close to where I first learnt to box, is incredibly special," he said.
Going global: Jab plans to open sites outside the UK in 2027, extending a model that Veness has promoted through work with clients including Woody Harrelson, Rita Ora, and Lily Allen.
