Ex-Entrée investor raises $5M seed for AI admin agent Catch

What's the deal? Catch, an AI agent that handles executive administration, has raised $5 million in seed funding. Entrée Capital and Pitango co-led the round, with Factorial CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Seedcamp also participating.

Who's behind it? Co-founder and chief executive officer Nir Sabato was previously an early-stage investor at Entrée Capital, where he backed WeavyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → — a company Figma later acquired for more than $200 million. His co-founder and chief technology officer, Yoav Ramon, was the first employee at Hi Auto and later served as chief technology officer at Nym.

What does it do? Catch connects to a user's email, calendar, and phone to handle tasks like scheduling and travel booking without setup. If it spots a flight reservation missing a hotel, it checks prices at the executive's preferred hotel and requests approval before booking in chat.

Why now? The product launched four months ago and already has hundreds of paying customers, including AI founders and senior legal professionals. Sabato said the round was oversubscribed but kept small deliberately: "We knew that, given the high quality of our engineers, what used to need 40 people can now be accomplished with just five."

What's the endgame? The six-person core team plans to spend most of the funding improving the travel product and growing users, mainly in the US and to a lesser extent in Europe. Before writing any code, the founders interviewed over 100 executive assistants at banks, consulting firms, and startups to understand the role.

What could go wrong? Trust remains a hurdle for AI agents. Sabato said every financial transaction requires explicit approval to avoid the problems seen with unsupervised agents. Catch also faces competition from HowieDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Superhuman, and JaceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, though most rivals offer only reminders and suggestions.

The signal: Catch is positioning against the flood of AI agents aimed at technical users. "What sets Catch apart is that it is built for the people actually managing businesses," said Avi Eyal, co-founder and managing partner at Entrée Capital. Most Catch users pair it with Claude or ChatGPT for analysis and writing, leaving execution to the agent.
