EIS buys Tampa's Environmental Construction to grow Florida demolition work

What each company does: Founded in 2005, Environmental Construction offers demolition, asbestos and lead-based paint abatement, mold remediation, and concrete cutting. It is licensed to operate in Florida and Georgia and serves commercial, industrial, and government clients.
Why now? The deal boosts EIS's capacity to self-perform demolition and environmental projects across the Southeast. EIS employs more than 1,000 people and runs 35 offices across 39 states, offering environmental consulting, remediation, decontamination, abatement, and infrastructure services.
What changes: Florida clients gain broader in-house capabilities under EIS. "Bringing them into EIS gives our Florida clients more capability, more capacity and more expertise under one roof," said B.J. Stephan, president and chief executive officer of EIS.
The signal: The acquisition reflects continued consolidation in the environmental and demolition services market, as larger players absorb regional specialists to deepen local capacity and expand geographic reach.
