Try Dealroom → has raised €6.6 million in a seed round to build an AI-native platform that combines accounting, tax, payroll, and business banking for small and medium-sized enterprises. The company launched in the Netherlands in January 2026 and has grown to nearly 200 customers, including SOUSDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? Neno is using the capital to launch a new division, Neno LabsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and to develop what it calls "Ambient AI" — technology that works continuously in the background rather than only on request. It processes and pays invoices within predefined guidelines while updating bookkeeping and cash-flow forecasts in real time.
How it works: At the platform's core is a real-time agentic general ledger that pulls together data from business accounts, cards, and payables and receivables. Neno says this lets accountants reconcile transactions and prepare VAT five times faster, saving clients an average of eight hours of admin per month and 20% on annual accounting fees.
Why now? Neno says more than half of Europe's 26 million SMEs outsource their bookkeeping, payroll, and tax obligations to external providers — a market worth over €200 billion a year. It argues the 50-year-old model is fragmented across banking, accounting, tax, and payroll, leaving business owners without a full financial picture, and is strained by a structural shortage of accountants.
According to founder Knuppe, the technology does not replace accountants but expands their capacity, allowing one to serve hundreds of clients rather than the traditional 30 without sacrificing advice quality.
What's next? The round also funds expanded capacity across Neno's accounting, tax, and commercial teams as it prepares to enter other European markets in 2027.
The signal: At €6.6 million, Neno's seed sits in the top 3% of enterprise software seed rounds raised in the Netherlands — a sign of investor appetite for automating a large, fragmented, and understaffed SME finance market.
