Plotpackers lands £120K from two Dragons after £1.5M first-year sales
What's the deal? Plotpackers, a travel platform founded by Louise Truman, secured a £120,000 investment from Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett after appearing on BBC's Dragons' Den . Truman had initially sought £60,000 for 3% of the company; the final deal combined offers from Meaden and Bartlett.
What does Plotpackers do? Launched in September 2023, Plotpackers helps young people plan itineraries and design trips for solo travellers, with a focus on safer, more sustainable and accessible travel experiences.
What's the signal? Truman said the company generated £1.5 million in sales in its first year and was making about £40,000 per week at the time of filming. The Dragons' Den investment gives Plotpackers two high-profile backers as it develops its travel offering.
