The expansion: IIF will make its platform available across Canada, following its work in Australia and regulatory approval in New Zealand. The app lets people invest in agricultural production, from beehives and cattle to oysters and canola, while giving farmers access to capital outside traditional lending.

Try Dealroom → says Canada offers a natural next market, with a large commercial agriculture sector and similarities to Australia. Verdex CEO Collin Philip said the platform can help farmers fund new technologies and practices.
