AB Dynamics buys eMpulse Test Systems for $11m upfront

The deal was completed on a cash-free, debt-free basis, with a working-capital adjustment expected to add roughly $1.8m (£1.4m).

Contingent consideration of up to $15m will be payable in cash across three tranches over the three years after completion, subject to performance criteria.

Why it matters The acquisition expands AB Dynamics' Testing Products division, particularly in laboratory testing equipment. AB Dynamics says eMpulse's portfolio complements its existing Suspension Parameter Measurement Machine (SPMM), while the deal adds a North American customer base and servoelectric testing capabilities covering noise, vibration, structural and durability testing.
