Ours Privacy raises $15M to help healthcare firms market without breaking HIPAA
What's the deal? Ours Privacy, a HIPAA-compliant marketing and data infrastructure platform, has raised $15 million in an oversubscribed Series A round. LightbankDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? The software is a full-stack marketing solution built for healthcare privacy. It integrates with sources from websites to EHRs, strips protected health information (PHI), and transmits cleaned data to third parties. Its core customer data platform pairs with tools for consent management, A/B testing, and web analytics.
Why now? The Office for Civil Rights, which enforces HIPAA, has warned that the rules apply to tracking technologies like "pixels," meaning PHI cannot be shared with third parties for marketing. Many healthcare organisations have pulled back from pixels to avoid penalties.
What could go wrong? The risks are real: in July 2026, the Federal Trade Commission, California, and Utah jointly sued Hims & HersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, alleging it shared consumers' health information with Meta, Snap, and other third parties. Ours Privacy sends only basic "signals" — that someone clicked an ad and took an undisclosed action.
The co-founders hit this wall running a telehealth company, struggling to market securely. "I cannot highlight enough how catastrophic not having any kind of pixel-type thing in place would have been for our marketing," said co-founder and chief executive officer Jessica Holton.
Why it matters: "Ours Privacy didn't build a compliance layer and call it a day — they built an entire growth stack that rivals anything else on the market," said Eric Ong, partner at Lightbank. The platform now works with over 200 providers, payers, and digital health companies, including multi-billion-dollar healthcare organisations.
The signal: At $15 million, the round sits in the upper third of comparable deals by size, a sign investors see room for privacy-first infrastructure as regulators tighten scrutiny of health data sharing.
