What each side brings. Joule's jHub platform provides remote monitoring, control and optimisation for renewable-energy and storage portfolios, including production forecasting, curtailment controls and a digital customer portal. Metlen said it intends to retain Joule's team for product development, engineering and go-to-market work.
Why it matters. The technology will be integrated into Metlen's aggregator business, which manages roughly 1,450 renewable units and about 3GW of installed capacity, with operations represented in Italy and Romania and planned expansion into Bulgaria. The acquisition extends Metlen's forecasting and curtailment capabilities as it builds digital services around its renewables and storage assets.
