What each side brings: MICFO, founded in 2006, delivers financial leadership and advisory services to entrepreneur-led businesses. UHY reported $471 million in revenue, with roughly 200 partners and over 2,000 staff across 40 offices.
The rationale: "As entrepreneurs navigate increasing complexity, they need strategic financial insight that can help them make confident decisions and accelerate growth," said Steven McCarty, chief executive officer of UHY. He added that the firm's CAS practice is "growing rapidly" and that MICFO's team complements the service.
Todd Rammler, founder and president of MICFO, said the deal gives his team "a broader platform of resources, specialized expertise, and national capabilities" while preserving "the relationships and personalized approach" behind its success.
Why now? UHY received a private equity investment from Summit Partners in December 2024, fuelling a wave of dealmaking. UHY's steady acquisition pace shows how CAS and advisory work — not just tax and audit — has become the prize in the sector's consolidation.
