What does it do? Founded by Erdem Öcal, Halil Çiftçi, and Ebubekir Kaplan, HOUFDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Games develops board games, collectible cards, and digital games around its own intellectual property. It operates in Turkey, the UK, and Germany, and its games have reached users in 42 countries.

What's the traction? The startup's first game, "Nice to Know! Animals", hit its Kickstarter funding target within five minutes of launch.

What's the endgame? HOUF Games will use the investment to widen its product portfolio and grow internationally. It plans to strengthen its presence across the DACH region — Germany, Austria, and Switzerland — alongside the UK and the Benelux countries.

The company is also preparing to launch three new games and two collectible card series in the coming months, with one game primarily targeting the Far East. It aims to carry its physical-game IP into digital titles over time.

Why the backing? Altan Arslan, who led the round for ŞirketOrtağım, said the model combining physical products, collectible cards, original IP, and social play shaped the decision. It is ŞirketOrtağım's first investment in the gaming sector.

The signal: A five-minute Kickstarter success and reach across 42 countries point to appetite for IP-driven tabletop products — and a European expansion push that a first angel round is now meant to fund.
