What's the technology? Point2's e-Tube platform uses RF signalling over plastic waveguides to enable multi-terabit interconnects for AI data-centre and automotive applications. The company says the technology offers 10 times the reach of copper at comparable cost, while using less power and delivering lower latency than optical cables.

Why now? As AI systems scale toward terabit-per-second speeds, the links between chips have become a limiting factor. Point2 is commercialising its Active RF Cable, near-packaged e-Tube, and co-packaged e-Tube solutions for rack-scale compute systems.

The signal: The financing brings strategic investors from across the semiconductor, connectivity, and automotive ecosystems behind an interconnect platform designed to address the wiring bottleneck in AI infrastructure.
