What's the deal? Kirloskar Oil EnginesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (KOEL) has acquired the remaining 49% stake in Engines LPG, LLC — trading as Wildcat Power GenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → — giving its US subsidiary Kirloskar Americas Corporation 100% ownership. The deal closed on 6 August 2026, US time.

The terms. Kirloskar Americas bought 4,900 units at $31 each, an all-cash transaction on an arm's-length basis. It first took a 51% controlling stake on 29 November 2023.

What Wildcat does. The company is a US original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of EPA-certified commercial and industrial generator sets and behind-the-meter power systems. Its Optiprime and Optiprime Hybrid lines span 10kW to 7.2MW for natural gas and diesel use, serving data centres, telecoms, microgrids and utilities.

The numbers. Wildcat projects revenue of $4.71 million for FY 2026.

What's the endgame? KOEL says full ownership will speed up decision-making and simplify governance. It also lets the company integrate research and development, technology and supply chains, and gives Kirloskar Americas more room to scale in North America.

The signal. Moving from majority to full control signals KOEL's commitment to North American power generation — a market where demand for behind-the-meter and data-centre power is climbing. Owning the OEM outright gives the Indian engine maker a direct route into that build-out.
