Circet Americas buys Sunrise Telecom to build national OSP platform

It employs more than 3,000 professionals nationwide. Sunrise Telecom brings OSP construction and network deployment work along with long-standing customer relationships.

What's the endgame? Circet is assembling what it calls "the premier national OSP platform in the United States," combining engineering, design, construction, installation, and maintenance under one roof.
"Together, we will be even better positioned to support our customers as they invest in next-generation broadband and digital infrastructure," said Trevor Putrah, chief executive officer of Circet Americas.
Adam Baumgartner, chief executive officer of Sunrise Telecom, said the deal gives the company access to Circet's "scale, financial strength, and national platform."
The signal: The buy reflects consolidation in US telecom infrastructure services, as providers race to meet demand for broadband, fibre, and digital infrastructure buildouts. Scale is becoming the price of entry for serving large operators.
