Colombini Group signs deal to acquire 70% of Snaidero Kitchens
Colombini Group has signed an agreement to acquire roughly 70% of Snaidero , a long-established Italian maker of high-end kitchens, including Snaidero and Snaidero Projects UK. The transaction is expected to close in the coming days.
Control of Snaidero passed to public investors, including Friulia and Invitalia , in a capital increase in March 2026. Founded in 1946 and based in Majano (Udine), Snaidero posted a turnover of €93.5 million in 2025, a slight decrease on 2024.
Colombini casts the deal as a step towards a family-run Italian furniture hub. Founded in 1965 in San Marino, it runs brands including Colombini Casa, Febal Casa, Bontempi and Colombini Office, with around 1,000 employees and a €300 million turnover for 2025.
The acquisition strengthens Colombini's kitchen business and its presence overseas, where Snaidero is well known. It also gives Colombini access to Snaidero's manufacturing expertise, specialised local suppliers and additional production capacity.
Colombini plans to invest in brand development, modernising the Majano plant's production lines, product innovation, and sales and marketing. Snaidero will keep its brand identity, positioning and ties to the Friuli region.
"Snaidero is a historic brand, recognised both in Italia and abroad, with a rich heritage of products, design and expertise that we intend to promote," said Emanuel Colombini, chairman and chief executive of the Colombini Group.
"The transaction has a clear industrial focus: we aim to support the development of Snaidero and our other companies through targeted investments," said Giovanni Battista Vacchi, chief executive officer of the Colombini Group.
The deal reflects consolidation in Italy's furniture sector, as family-run groups pool brands, distribution and manufacturing to expand internationally. Snaidero exports to more than 60 countries through over 400 sales outlets; Colombini adds a network of over 890 stores and 8,600 customers worldwide.
