What's the endgame? ShipIn's platform combines data from onboard cameras, vessel systems, sensors, and applications to give shipowners operational visibility. It says the system is deployed by 92 shipowners across more than 1,300 vessels.
The company will use the funding to accelerate its FleetVision product, expand AI across vessel operations, and fund international expansion, strategic partnerships, and its intellectual property portfolio.
Why now? "Commercial shipping is entering its AI era," said Osher Perry, founder and chief executive officer of ShipIn Systems. He said AI can now turn operational data into intelligence, "empowering crew, reducing risk and helping shipowners operate safer, smarter and more efficient fleets."
