BrickCircle raises ₹16 crore to build India's first data center-focused REIT platform
Delhi-based BrickCircle has raised ₹16 crore ($2 million) in an early-stage round led by Hindustan Media Ventures . The startup plans to build India's first data center-focused Small and Medium REIT (SM REIT) platform.
BrickCircle wants to institutionalise investments in data centers and digital infrastructure, giving a wider base of investors access to premium real estate through a yield-focused model. It operates across real estate research, market analytics, industry events, and investment management.
The sector is drawing growing investor interest as India's digital economy moves toward the $1 trillion mark. "The timing is right to bring greater structure and institutional rigour to data center investing in India," said co-founder Satya Gupta.
The capital will also advance BrickCircle's alignment with the Securities and Exchange Board of India's SM REIT framework, as it builds toward a compliant, scalable platform. Co-founder and chief executive officer Anil Mundhe said the company "aims to become the preferred platform for institutional real estate investing in India."
As part of the deal, Hindustan Media Ventures will use its media reach to help BrickCircle expand brand visibility and connect with a broader investor base. Mundhe said the backing provides "a significant advantage in distribution," letting the company scale faster and attract higher-quality assets.
India's data center boom is spawning new financial vehicles to fund it. By pairing a regulated REIT structure with a media backer's distribution muscle, BrickCircle is betting that retail and institutional investors alike will want exposure to the infrastructure powering the country's digital economy.
