ABOUND raises C$299K in fully subscribed placement, closes H2Si hydrogen deal
ABOUND Energy, formerly Zinc8 , has completed a fully subscribed non-brokered private placement, raising gross proceeds of C$299,286.96 (roughly $213,296) through the issuance of 3,741,087 common shares. The Richmond, British Columbia-based company trades on the CSE under ABND.
The raise lands alongside two other milestones announced July 31, 2026: the closing of the H2Si™ technology licence deal and continued commercial production of its ZaeroTex™ air-cathode materials.
ABOUND is building what it calls a diversified Energy Solutions Platform, spanning commercial products, near-term technology commercialisation, and its Zaeras™ long-duration energy storage development. Net proceeds will fund engineering, manufacturing, business development, and working capital across that portfolio.
Following a unanimous shareholder vote by Amerada R&D Ltd., ABOUND secured exclusive commercialisation and licensing rights to H2Si™ hydrogen technology, with a contractual path to acquire the underlying intellectual property once specified commercial milestones are met. The technology generates hydrogen through a controlled reaction between silicon nanoparticles and water, using no hydrocarbon feedstocks and producing hydrogen gas and silica.
One insider participated in the placement, making it a related party transaction under Multilateral Instrument 61-101. The company relied on exemptions from the formal valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements, on the basis that the securities did not exceed 25% of its market capitalisation.
The modest, quick re-raise reflects a small-cap energy player stitching together financing, licensing, and production milestones in short succession to fund a multi-pronged commercialisation push.
