Bluspring closes US$24.5M STEAG India deal, narrows loss

What's the deal? Bluspring EnterprisesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has completed its acquisition of STEAG Energy Services (India)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → for US$24.5M, finalised on 20 May 2026. The company also signed an agreement to buy a 100% stake in LSG Sky Chefs (India) for an enterprise value of US$17.5M, pending regulatory approval.

What each side brings: Bluspring operates across Facility Management and Food Services, Foundit, and its newly rebranded Smart Infra, Energy and Engineering segment, formerly Telecom and Industrials. STEAG adds energy services capabilities, while LSG Sky Chefs would push the company further into catering and food services.

The numbers: Alongside the deals, Bluspring reported Q1 FY27 consolidated revenue of US$128.9M, up from US$108.3M a year earlier. Its consolidated net loss narrowed to US$214.6K from US$971K, while the standalone business posted a US$539.1K profit.

What's the endgame? The acquisitions point to an inorganic growth strategy aimed at widening market presence and service offerings. The rebranding of Telecom and Industrials to Smart Infra, Energy and Engineering reflects that shift in focus.

What could go wrong? Auditors flagged reliance on other auditors for several subsidiaries and on management-certified financials for others, pointing to potential control weakness. The Foundit segment remains a drag, posting a US$1.99M loss for the quarter.

The signal: Bluspring is betting that dealmaking will diversify its revenue base and drive the consolidated business back to profit. Whether integration delivers — and whether Foundit turns around — will decide if the strategy pays off.
