MUNIC secures €1M equity line and bond restructuring to fund it to 2027

What's the deal?

Munic.io, a French company specialising in embedded technologies, has signed a deal with IRIS to restructure its €1.1 million convertible bond and set up a new €1 million equity financing facility. The move extends the company's cash flow horizon to July 2027.

How it works:

The bond issuance agreement with IRIS allows for the subscription of bonds redeemable in ordinary shares. Repayment of the loan balance and the drawdown of the first tranche of the new financing line will both take place by July 2027.

Why now?

The restructuring follows a financial impasse flagged by MUNIC's auditor in its latest annual results. The amendment lets the company meet its cash flow needs through the new expiry date.

What's the endgame?

The new financing line is intended to support MUNIC's development. Extending its runway to mid-2027 buys the company time to stabilise before the loan comes due.

The signal:

The involvement of IRIS anchors a deal that is more about survival than growth. For a listed company working to clear an auditor's warning, restructuring debt while opening a fresh equity line is a familiar path back to solid footing.
