What's the deal? Precision Roll SolutionsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (PRS) and American Roller CompanyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (ARCO) have merged, combining two North American precision roll manufacturers. The tie-up was announced on July 10, 2026.
What each brings: PRS makes precision rolls and cylinders — including laser-engraved anilox rolls, gravure and embossing rolls, and web handling equipment. ARCO, a manufacturer with more than 90 years of experience, brings engineered roll coverings, industrial coatings, and field service across plants in the US, Canada, and China.
What's the endgame? The combined company aims to cover the full roll lifecycle, from base rolls and engraved surfaces to specialty coverings, coatings, and repair. Its customers span flexographic, gravure, laminating, coating, embossing, metal, and industrial converting markets.
The leadership shift: Scott Vuchetich became chief executive officer on July 6. Dan CahalaneDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, ARCO's CEO since 2005, moves to executive vice president, while Justin Glass, PRS's CEO since 2024, becomes chief commercial officer.
Vuchetich brings more than 30 years leading growth-stage organizations. "The foundation Dan, Justin, and their respective teams have built is exceptional," he said.
Why it matters to customers: Glass framed the deal as widening what buyers can access without losing continuity. "This merger gives our customers immediate access to a broader set of capabilities, backed by the same teams and the same standard of precision they've always counted on," he said.
The signal: The merger reflects consolidation in the converting supply chain, where roll manufacturing, coverings, coatings, and service have often been fragmented across specialist firms. Bundling those capabilities under one platform points to demand for single-source suppliers across the roll lifecycle.
