Lihuang raises 30M CNY Series A extension for lithium battery anode materials
What's the deal? Chinese battery materials startup Lihuang TechnologyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised 30,000,000 CNY (about $4.4 million) in a Series A extension (A+) round. The round was led by the Yuanhe Houwang Innovation Growth Fund (元禾厚望创新成长基金).
What's the endgame? Lihuang develops, produces and sells high-performance anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. It supplies electrode materials for power batteries, consumer electronics batteries, and energy storage batteries, and aims to become a global leader in materials for long-range lithium-ion cells.
Where the money goes: The company will spend the funds on production line upgrades, deeper research and development, and capacity expansion. The goal is to accelerate delivery at thousand-tonne mass production scale.
The signal: Anode materials remain a bottleneck in the race for longer-lasting batteries. Continued backing at this stage points to sustained investor appetite for hard-tech suppliers underpinning power and energy storage cells.
