Click&Care raises €5M Series A to overhaul home-care work in France

Click&Care, a French digital home-care staffing network, has raised €5 million in a Series A round led by SWEN Capital Partners. Île-de-France fund InvESS and Banque des Territoires, part of the Caisse des Dépôts group and an existing shareholder, also took part. The company plans to raise pay, training, and working conditions for home-care workers.

Click&Care runs a digital platform that handles recruitment, matching, and administrative work, backed by a centralised team of advisers available seven days a week. Families remain the legal employer, which the company says ensures stability. It claims the model pays workers 24% to 48% above the sector average.

France faces a looming shortage of home-care staff. According to projections from DARES and France Stratégie, 305,000 posts will need filling by 2030, with nearly 224,000 unlikely to be covered by young entrants.

The funding will support national expansion and new artificial intelligence tools to help workers on the job. Via a mobile app, staff will get decision support, contextual training, and personalised recommendations. The company also wants the technology to detect early signs of frailty and improve coordination between care professionals.

The round ties into Caisse des Dépôts' "Santé et grand âge" roadmap, which will mobilise €25 billion over five years. Click&Care argues that at constant public spending, its model could support nearly 370,000 more people losing autonomy.

"Home-care workers are the professionals most present with the elderly, but paradoxically the least recognised," said founder Lina Bougrini. She added that better pay and tools could "strengthen the appeal of the job" while easing pressure on the health system.

The backing of institutional investors like Banque des Territoires and SWEN points to growing appetite for care-sector startups that pair digital efficiency with social impact — a segment gaining weight as ageing populations strain public budgets across Europe.
