What does Fore do? The registration-stage company develops targeted cancer therapies. Its lead asset, plixorafenib, is a novel BRAF inhibitor being tested in the global Phase 2 FORTE study across several distinct patient groups.
What's the money for? Proceeds will fund late-stage development of plixorafenib, including topline data from the BRAF V600E primary CNS tumor basket expected around the end of 2026. Fore is also pursuing a regulatory submission and continued work in rare BRAF V600 mutated solid tumors and tumors with BRAF fusions.
Why now? Target enrollment is complete in the primary CNS tumor basket, and plixorafenib recently received Breakthrough Therapy Designation. Fore is targeting a regulatory submission in 2027 for BRAF V600E CNS tumors.
What they said: The financing reflects investor "confidence in the potential for plixorafenib to disrupt the BRAF market," said chief executive officer William Hinshaw.
The signal: At $67.4 million, this round sits in the top half of comparable deals by size. For a company nearing data readout and a regulatory filing, the capital and widened investor base signal that late-stage oncology assets with a clear path to submission still draw broad support.
