Wrxflo raises €3m to more than triple staff to 200 and expand in UK, US
Limerick-founded AI software company Wrxflo has raised €3 million in an early VC round led by Elkstone, with Enterprise Ireland and Furthr VC participating. The money will fund expansion into the UK and US markets and grow headcount from 60 to 200 by 2028.
Founded in 2019 by former Dell manufacturing leaders Tim Crowe , Ken Sheehan , and Jennifer Kelly, Wrxflo builds AI software that helps large industrial manufacturers and logistics firms streamline operations. Its platform replaces spreadsheets and manual processes with a single, connected system.
Chief executive Crowe said the technology acts as an AI-powered co-worker, cutting clients' operational costs by up to 40% and lifting productivity by a quarter. "We know how frustrating it is when systems don't talk to each other and teams have to chase data just to understand what's happening across the operation," he said.
Wrxflo already operates across five markets, including Germany, China, and the US. The new round targets deeper reach in the UK and US, where Crowe said the company sees "strong demand from manufacturers looking to harness AI in practical, measurable ways."
A €3m raise is modest beside Limerick's landmark deals — Analog Devices' €630m semiconductor expansion or AMCS's €100m round — but it echoes a familiar pattern in the region, where €3m-scale rounds fund international expansion, much as University of Limerick spin-out Ostoform's €3m raise did for its medtech push. The story here is jobs and reach, not the headline figure, reinforcing Limerick's growing role as a hub for industrial AI.
