Panora raises $5M seed to build an AI operating system for insurance brokers

What's the deal? French startup PanoraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $5 million in a seed round led by Isai, with Kima Ventures, 199 VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and the founders of Pennylane also taking part. Founded by Diane du Paty and Fabian Langlet, the company builds AI software that automates administrative workflows for insurance brokers.

What's the endgame? Panora is building an AI-powered execution platform to handle repetitive tasks such as document collection, quoting, compliance, and commission reconciliation. The aim: free brokers to spend more time advising clients.

Why now? The company developed the platform after more than 200 hours of interviews with brokers across Europe, identifying manual data entry and fragmented carrier systems as key bottlenecks. Brokers often work across numerous insurer portals that lack modern integrations, making routine processes highly manual.

Three months after its commercial launch, Panora says it has signed 40 broker clients, including some of the industry's largest firms alongside international brokers and insurers. Built for Europe's regulated market, its infrastructure is model-agnostic and features traceable, auditable workflows, firm-level data encryption, and carrier-specific logic to meet compliance requirements.

"We sat next to brokers in Brest, Nice, Antwerp and London as they re-typed the same information into fifteen different extranets," said du Paty, chief executive officer and co-founder. "Our conviction is that AI should do the work while the broker keeps the advice, the control and the accountability."

What's next? The funding will expand Panora's technical team, strengthen portal integrations, improve the reliability of its AI agents and data infrastructure, and support expansion into more European markets. It initially rolled out in France, Belgium, and the UK.

The signal: Panora's raise fits a wider upswing in European insurtech capital flowing to broker-enablement rather than broker "disruption." Try Dealroom →'s €25 million Series B for a small-business distribution platform and Italy's Wopta, which closed a €5 million hybrid round. Against a European brokerage market projected near $276 billion in 2026, a $5 million round is modest but notable — enough to build and test product in a hot category while reinforcing the shift toward tools that make brokers more efficient.
