Orus is a digital insurance provider founded in 2021 by Côme Dartiguenave (CEO), Tom Le Bras (COO), and Samuel Rossille (CTO). The Paris-based company aims to simplify business insurance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs) across Europe. Before co-founding Orus, Dartiguenave and Le Bras worked at the venture capital firm Partech, where they gained experience in the fintech and insurtech sectors. Rossille brought extensive technical leadership to the team, having served as CTO at companies like JobTeaser, Frichti, and Kapten (formerly Chauffeur Privé).

The company offers a technology-driven alternative to traditional insurance, which is often characterized by slow onboarding, opaque products, and inefficient claims processing. Orus's platform uses over 300 data points, including financial health and climate risk, to instantly assess risk and provide personalized coverage. This allows SMBs to get insured in under five minutes and have claims settled in days rather than months. The business model includes a direct-to-business approach and a newer broker platform that enables intermediaries to manage digital-first insurance products for their clients.

Orus provides a comprehensive range of modular insurance products, including general liability, property insurance, business owner's policies, cyber insurance, and health insurance. The company has expanded its operations from France to Spain, with plans to enter more European countries by 2026. Since its inception, Orus has secured significant funding, including a €5 million seed round in 2022, an €11 million Series A in 2023, and a €25 million Series B in 2025, bringing its total funding to €41 million. As of mid-2025, the company protects over 30,000 businesses across Europe.
